I have always been interested in other artist's studios. Where they
paint, what the set up looks like, etc. Joe Figg wrote an excellent book called Inside the Painter's Studio for any one interested in working artist studios. One of the most important part
of the artist's studio is usually table space. Painting tables are
particularly interesting the way the surface picks up all the accidental
smudges and smears and spills of paint creating a completely accidental yet unique surface. I want to start documenting the
tables I use to paint every few months or so. These are four of my most
relied upon tables. I have been using them for about a year now. One is a
portable store bought collapsible table I carry around while the other
three (one inside the studio two outside) I made myself.
I would love to know what other painters' tables look like.
